Reinforced Concrete Prefabricated Houses: Functional Spaces "Grown" in Factories – Ready for Use Upon Hoisting, Sturdy Enough to Withstand a Century of Wind and Rain
At a renovation project in Guangzhou, the appearance of three reinforced concrete prefabricated houses stunned everyone: they were shipped from the factory in the early morning, completed hoisting at noon, and had lights on by evening. These functional spaces "grown" and formed in the workshop have subverted people’s perception of house construction with the efficiency of "being put into use on the day of on-site placement". What is even more amazing is that their structure contains the strength to withstand a century of wind and rain.
